For more than 22 years, the Levine Museum of the New South and the Latin American Coalition have joined together with a shared vision: to celebrate, preserve, and share the rich culture and history of our community. Through this long-standing partnership, they have brought Día de Muertos Charlotte to life, creating a meaningful and vibrant experience where families and communities come together to honor loved ones, celebrate tradition, and experience the beauty of Mexican culture.

About The Levine Museum of the New South

Founded in 1990, Levine Museum of the New South is a leading regional history museum dedicated to sharing the stories of the many people and communities that have shaped the South and whose lives have been shaped by it. Through engaging exhibitions, community conversations, digital experiences, and cultural celebrations, the Museum connects history with the issues and experiences of today. Its work encourages greater understanding, meaningful dialogue, and active participation in the community. Over the years, Levine Museum has gained national recognition for its creative programming and its commitment to bringing people together through history.

About The Latin American Coalition

Founded in 1990, the Latin American Coalition (La Coalición) is one of the region’s leading Latino and immigrant organizations, dedicated to building a more equitable and welcoming community.
Through education, advocacy, community services, and cultural celebrations, La Coalición promotes full participation in the civic, economic, and cultural life of North Carolina. Its programs support individuals and families through immigration assistance, workforce development, youth education, and community integration, while cultural events celebrate Latino heritage and create opportunities for people of diverse backgrounds to connect.
